It’s that time of the year again:  Hurricane / Tropical Storm Season !

The 2017 Hurricane and Tropical Storm season officially begins on Thursday, June 1st, in the Atlantic Region of the United States and runs through the end of November, 2017. During this time of year, there is the potential for significant wind, water and Flood Damage.

You may want to prepare yourself now, and make sure that you have your insurance coverage up to date, because when a storm is near, the insurance companies send out temporary moratoriums to all of the insurance agents which PROHIBITS bind authority, and also prohibits the following:

  • Requests to increase limits on in-force policies, including renewals; and
  • Requests to add coverage to in-force policies, including renewals, currently without coverage

There is the old saying: “ Better be safe than sorry”.

You may want to contact your insurance agent or carrier to discuss your coverage. Best prepare for the worst case scenario, than to be stuck without the proper coverage for your home, vehicles and all of your assets.

Let us know if we can be of any assistance with any questions or concerns you may have.
